Honeymoon

Two of the bestest families!

Coast-ward bound!
The view from out front porch.  We were able to get reservations to a little cottage in Pacific City that we once stayed at a few years back.  We were even fortunate enough to get the same unit by coincidence.
We saw lots of deer feeding on the neighbors gardens, it was a very peaceful place.

Today is a day you will always remember
The greatest in anyone's life
You'll start off the day just two people in love
And end it as Husband and Wife
It's a brand new beginning the start of a journey
With moments to cherish and treasure
And although there'll be times when you both disagree
These will surely be outweighed by pleasure
You'll have heard many words of advice in the past
When the secrets of marriage were spoken
But you know that the answers lie hidden inside
Where the bond of true love lies unbroken
So live happy forever as lovers and friends
It's the dawn of a new life for you
As you stand there together with love in your eyes
From the moment you whisper 'I do'
And with luck, all your hopes, and your dreams can be real
May success find it's way to your hearts
Tomorrow can bring you the greatest of joys
But today is the day it all starts

Our favorite meal (stuffed focaccia) at the best restaurant on the coast, the Grateful Bread.

The beautiful weather evoked an idea that the water would be nice and warm too, not really, but that didn't stop us.

Danny of course had to start out the day with some climbing.

He said it was easy but I decided to take the sand route.

Yay we made it up the big sand dunes and were rewarded with a spectacular view.

After that a nap above the beach was just what we needed.

Pretending I was searching for my lost love at sea.  Danny kept saying: "I'm right here Laura."

After our yummy dinner at the Pelican Pub we ran down to the beach to see all the fog and the sun trying its best to shine through.

You'll notice that this is my new favorite hoodies from my new sister-in-law :)

Me posing again, although it was super bright.

This day was perfect and we felt so lucky and happily in love.

A couple days later we ventured off to other coastal cities and viewpoints.

Newport, Oregon Coast Aquarium

We found a cute little diner in Lincoln city with appropriate decorations and great seafood.  It was one of the few spots we found without deep fried seafood.

Sea Lions are awesome!

Our next adventure was hiking in to Danny's favorite Beach...kudos to you if you know the spot.  It's about a quarter mile hike in from the road and is just as beautiful as the hidden beach itself.

Fun in the sun!!!

I got my pretty nails dirty ;-p

What a beautiful place to be with the one you love.

This is the body language that says: "Enough pictures already, come over here and enjoy the sunset with me."

Life's pretty great ya know.

What would a Honeymoon be without a honey moon ;) The moon was so huge (but doesn't appear so in the pic) as we walked back from the beach at moon-set.

Welcome/ Pizza

Greetings and salutations and welcome to our new blog.  Danny and I have been thinking about getting a blog for a while now, but like most things in our lives, we just never got around to it...oops...

So now we've decided that a random weekend when we have TONS of other stuff to do, is the perfect time to start.

Something that we've been doing a lot recently is making PIZZA!!!!

And not your normal Domino's Pizza...NO!  We've been making...AWESOME PIZZA!!!!

(Awesome Pizza courtesy of the kitchen of Ddub and Lew)

Yum!!!

Now, there are several important parts to the successful making of this Awesome Pizza.  The first is the the pizza dough.  We found this amazing pizza dough at our local grocery store, Sprouts.  It's called Chebe and it is naturally gluten free and really really delicious.

The second key ingredient is lots of vegetables.  On the piece below you can see tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, peppers and whatever else we had in our fridge at the time.

YUMMMMM!!!!

Last but not least, are the figs.  Danny has this crazy obsession with figs right now and puts them on EVERYTHING.  I will admit that I was a little skeptical of adding them to our pizza, but it adds just the right taste to an already amazing recipe.

So, yeah.  That is one of our typical adventures.  A pizza like that will usually last about 30 minutes before we've completely devoured it...by ourselves...actually that's kind of embarrassing.
